EXPERIMENTAL MUSIC COMPOSITION

The students of Greenhead College were led by the acclaimed experimental music artist, Richard Youngs, over the course of 8 weeks and supported by their tutor John Clyde Evans. These workshops were conducted online with Richard leading from his home in Glasgow.

Over the course of the sessions the students explored what it means to be part of an experimental music ensemble and were taught crucial techniques required to be a good improviser such as listening and responding to other people in the room.

In the final session, the students were shown mixing and mastering techniques lead by local venue owner, Jake Burdass of Bassment Studios.
