Over the course of 12 weeks, Chol worked with a group of young people aged 14 - 19 from around Kirklees, to achieve their Silver Arts Award, setting themselves arts challenges and then working to implement and review the challenges they set.

This included live performances of dance, comedy and music composition and leading their own creative workshops.

The young people have also been working together to create a Maker World Takeover on the weekend of the 3rd & 4th July where they will take on shared responsibilities to realise the event, including: planning, producing, marketing, promotion, budgeting, fundraising, directing, choreographing, composing music and final presentation.

In order to make the programme relevant and meaningful to each young person taking part, the content of the sessions has been led primarily by what they are interested in and has focused on the skills they want to develop.

Chol has worked alongside The Children’s Art School to design and deliver the programme, and with Evoke to produce and deliver ongoing evaluation.

Companies & Artists involved: Chol, The Children’s Art School, Evoke.
